Volume XSAN Locked UP

If you find your XSAN Volumes have LOCK icon, and your users can’t access the volumes … Don’t Panic! 🙂

Your data is safe.

Just open “Terminal” … and run this command:

1. chflags nouchg /Volumes/”xsan volume name”

2. chmod 777 /Volumes/”xsan volume name”

If your users still can’t access the Volumes, just do right click on the Volume, and click on “Get Info” …

Click “+” to add Users (the username that allowed to access and own the volumes, if you have) … change the permission to Read + Write … And make “him” as the Owner.

At this point, your users should be able to access the Volume back again.
